About Malaysia Weiqi
A shared home for player progress and tournament results.
Connecting the game across Malaysia.
This platform brings together Malaysia's Weiqi player directory, published tournament results and MWA-certified rank records. It gives players, families and organisers a clear way to follow performance and recognise achievement.
New players begin at 1000 Elo, regardless of their registration category. Verified certificates establish an appropriate rating benchmark, while the certified rank is retained independently of later match results.

Weiqi, also called Go or Baduk, is a strategy game played with black and white stones. Players take turns placing a stone on an empty intersection. Connected stones share adjacent empty points called liberties; a group with no liberties is captured.
The goal is to control more territory than your opponent. Beginners can start on a 9 × 9 board before moving to 13 × 13 and the full 19 × 19 board. Scoring and some rules vary by ruleset, so check the rules used by your teacher or tournament organiser.
